Dr. Heeyeon Amy Chu · Heeyeon Counseling · Turin, Italy · VAT No. 13412120019
Please read these terms carefully before booking a session or using the services offered by Heeyeon Counseling. By submitting a booking request or attending a session, you agree to these terms.
1. About the Service
Heeyeon Counseling, operated by Dr. Heeyeon Amy Chu, PhD, offers:
- Counseling sessions (50 minutes, €70 per session) — professional support addressing emotional, relational, and life challenges.
- Guided Reflection sessions (30 or 50 minutes, €40–€60 per session) — a structured, non-clinical reflective practice focused on personal clarity and decision-making.
- Group Programs and Workshops — thematic programmes for small groups, available to organisations and individuals.
Sessions are available online via video call (worldwide) and in person in Turin and Milan, Italy. Sessions are conducted in English and Korean.
2. Not a Medical or Psychiatric Service
Heeyeon Counseling is not a medical, psychiatric, or clinical psychology service. Our services do not include:
- Diagnosis of any mental health condition
- Prescription of medication
- Treatment of clinical disorders requiring clinical or psychiatric intervention
- Crisis intervention or emergency mental health support
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your local emergency services immediately.
3. Service Distinction: Counseling vs. Guided Reflection
Counseling is a professional supportive relationship addressing emotional and relational challenges. It is appropriate where therapeutic support is needed.
Guided Reflection is not psychotherapy or counseling. It is a time-limited practice for personal growth, clarity, and reflection. It is not a substitute for therapeutic support where such support is clinically indicated. If your needs are beyond the scope of Guided Reflection, counseling or referral to another professional may be recommended.
4. Session Booking
- Submitting a booking form does not confirm a session. Bookings are confirmed by direct email communication.
- A session is confirmed once both parties agree on a time and the client has received a written confirmation.
- Dr. Chu reserves the right to decline a booking request if the service is not appropriate for the client's needs, and will suggest suitable alternatives where possible.
5. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session: no charge.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice: the full session fee may be charged.
- If Dr. Chu needs to cancel or reschedule, she will provide reasonable notice and offer an alternative appointment at no additional cost.
6. Fees and Payment
- Session fees are stated on this website and confirmed by email before the first session.
- Fees are due in advance or at the start of each session, as agreed.
- Fees may be reviewed periodically. You will be given reasonable advance notice of any change.
7. Confidentiality
All session content is treated as strictly confidential. Confidentiality may only be broken in exceptional circumstances required by law — for example, if there is a credible risk of serious harm to you or to others.
8. Online Sessions
- Online sessions are conducted via a secure video call platform.
- You are responsible for ensuring a private and confidential environment on your end.
- In the event of technical difficulties on either side, the session will be rescheduled at no additional charge.
